Originally posted by ejmack That exhaust is just crazy loud.... I dont think there is any packing left in it :laughing
its gangsta soundin |
Originally posted by nags why should he bounce over clutch?? Clutching is so much better
I don't think it is, in THIS case. for slow speed stuff where you just flick the clutch, ok ... but did you see his video?? he's draggin the clutch WAY out, and WAY too hard ... 1. that will hurt your bike 2. dont do it if you dont have to. if you are 12ing or whatever, ok cool snap it to get it up instantly .... but on the highway, you don't NEED to. and that's the issue. |
wicked cool vid good form, if you lean it up just a little bit more you should be able to keep it where you won't have to speed up, you'll be able to hold a constant speed and go alot futher.:cheers |
Lean back when you set the bike down , your landings look kind of rough . |
Ok that wasn't the best video... That landing was a little hard, normally they are alot softer and as the holding the clutch to long. It is usually a quick drop of the clutch... I think I was using 4 fingers on the lever instead of 1 like i usually do when i am cluthcing it.... |
Is that an R6 or R1??? That exhaust is a Micron right??? oh and yeah get that fukcing jacket!!!! :twofinger |
thats an R6 |
Dont look bad at all, I just started getting them down myself. Working on slowing them down helped me to get more hieght. |
R6 no wonder that bitch is so loud :twofinger :twofinger |
i found when you bounce it your to high in the revs already....and for a beginner who dosent get the bike up to the balance point yet they will last alot more and give him the ability to get more practice...they look good though keep trying, and for **** sake get a jacket... |
I would stick to the clutch and no bounce. That way you can bring it up at lower rpms and have more room to work with. Gotta goe with the leaning forward more its the only way your gonna get it up higher. otherwise not to bad. If your gonna set em down taht fast realy get a damper after your first 90mph tank slapper youll never go without one again |
:cheers |
id say stick with the clutch also. i Have loopd doing bouncing crap and once you slide across the pavement and break a bone you will wish you stuck with the clutch. of course i dont have the best break control yet :Dsmile |
Damn man looks good, if I could hold mine that long I would be happy. Still getting the hang of them here. Good tips though. |

When you learn to master SLIPPING the clutch....Way more control and he could start that sucka at a lower speed, Doin 12's or faster shiat! My 2 cents.....Do what's best for you....Keep it up!!! |
The only time I have ever had a tank slapper was at low speeds.... Actually the second part of that video where I have my knee on the see and left foot on the rear peg, At the end i blip the throttle a little to hard and it made my rear wheel start wobbling back and forth. Its the closest I ahve ever felt to wrecking a stand up.... As long as your wheel is straight hitting the ground, you shouldn't have to worry about a tank slapper right? |
If thats the worst youve had yet your fcuking luckey. Even if you have your wheel straight once you learn to take corners if you setr it down as your turning youll propably get a slapper. Be carefull or at least get it on film |
i try and set her down after the corner ;) |
Originally posted by jopek Is that an R6 or R1??? That exhaust is a Micron right??? oh and yeah get that fukcing jacket!!!! :twofinger
Gotta be an R6 ! But I have been trying the bounce thing and that clutch seems like it would be much easier to me, but everyonr PREACHES the bounce, I just can't seem to get the hang of it? :cheers |
NOt bad. Looking good:cheers Once you get more comfortable doing them try and straighten your body out a little more instead of being hunched over. Start inching them back little by little. That will help you go slower which I think is more comfortable. It wouldnt be a bad idea to learn some rear brake control just in case. Keep it up my man.:cheers |
