TN SHOW recap

ok....for those who were unfortunate enough not to be able to make it down to this event i will recap everything for you guys and gals!!

Fri.

me and neal left j-town at about 10 am in my truck packed to the brim with tires bike and various other ****....il is about the most boring state to drive though it took us all day pretty much to clear il....arrived in lynchburg tn at about 930 pm......this town is smaller than milton, actually it's about the size of johnstown with a pop of 361, but it has a cool little town square with a bunch of little shops mostly selling jack daniels stuff....anyways, we find a camp site, set up our tent and of course----had a few beverages....we stopped about 15 miles from lynchburg and picked up some beer as lynchburg is a dry county....we camped next to some guys from indiana that were pretty cool harley guys

steve, joe, dan and phatty left janesville at about 7 pm friday and drove all night to get down there...they rolled in at 7 am and woke me and neal up.....everybody was in PRIME form...so we went and ate breakfast at some greasy spoon---which phatty threw up about 30 mins after consuming

sat.

1st show--phatty breaks his right rear set which he needs for a rear brake...luckily people down here were EXTREMELY helpful, so he took my truck to alabama to a motorcycle shop to get his rear set welded-free....meanwhile, me dan and joe held down the next show, i blew out my second tire of the day and started my bike on fire, my cage actually got bent and rubbed a small hole in my oil filter and it was dripping on my red-hot headers.....got the fire out and put moose quicksteel on the filter and wrapped it with duct tape....good to go, just a small leaker now:-)

3rd show...we were exhausted from the heat but we made it a good show...we had 100 yards of pavement that was new, but slightly uneven, we did what we could with parking lot skills...i believe this was the show where dan 12'd and lost control and threw it into the trees, crowd loved that!...everybody seemed like they enjoyed the show and we had good crowds all day...joe was even trying light towers....very cool!

sat. night....

me, phatty, steve and neal jumped in the pool......talk about refreshing....

joe and dan went out to eat....cause they are gay

after that me and neal went to the bar about 12 miles away....friendly people all around and saw a cool band....got a little tipsy and called her a night....had shows the next day!!

Sun.

joe snored all night....which sucked....
we got up at 8am...me and neal took the jack daniels distillery tour which was pretty damn cool....neal has pics of it
1st show was kind of a warm up session, not a huge crowd, but a crowd none the less....today we moved the caution tape back about 20 feet...this comes into play later in the day.....bikes were running at red hot temps all weekend as it was about 80 and HUMID at all times....even with a fan running, the radiators were pissing coolant every show

2nd show...we advertised this show around the park and got a lot of people over for this one...phatty was busting out SICK stoppies and no handers...dan was rippin some nice cross over stoppies and joe was riding on the edge of control like he always does ....i had a small mishap, i did a burnout with a pluged tire that had low air pressure...of course the plug ripped out....i went to 12 and the whole bike tipped to the right (the tire folded and i rode on the inside wall of the tire) as i landed i was thrown forward and my hand cranked the throttle....heading straight at the crowd...all i could see was people scattering....i got the bike under control and slid it on it's side with room to spare....good thing we moved the caution tape back ...this was 10 mins into the show...so i went and changed my tire and came back to rip some chain saws and donuts and popped my tire....

dan was being a puss and didn't want to melt his motor but he and phatty gave into peer pressure and did a head to head rev limiter burnout....the crowd LOVED it....

we had a couple beers and hit the road.....left at about 4 pm and didn't roll into j-town till 3 am.....at about 130 am we stop for gas and get back on the road, we pass a cop sitting in the median....for all that dont know, joe has no trailor lights....2 miles down the road i see joes truck pulling over....i called up dan and he said joe was pulling over for a road-side chit

all in all...this was one of our best trips...we met some FANTASTIC people that bent over backwards to help us out....jim kept us with running bikes and beer all weekend...and pat paid the bill.....i gained a lot of respect for harley riders this weekend...

yeah i know what you mean the roads are great unless you're going to fast and run off the road!! don't ask!! the heat does get pretty bad but you get used to it!! maybe you guys can get back down here some time and ride with our group! we don't do stunts b/c we are on harley's but it would still be fun to ride with ya'll!!

Re: TN SHOW recap

You forgot Dan's MARATHON combo scrape that finished off the third show on saturday. The crowd liked that, but liked it even more when I threw her into the forest during that same show! Funny **** indeed! Was a great show, and the people down there are REALLY nice!

This is Ninjadude under Yellow1's name by the way.
