Bow down Corners!

Whoa........this thread started a lot of **** talkin! Thats funny! But anywayz...........I hadn't been through Palmer corner very recently at all lately, but that really doesn't matter, cause I do know every stone in the asphalt on that corner. And about going hot on unfamiliar roads Mike, thats how I had my worst crash ever was trying to hot dog on 184. That day was three years ago this July 1st, but it taught me a damn good lesson of what to do on an unfamiliar road. I still go pretty hot, but always leave that cushion for error, just incase that corner is a little tighter than expected, or dirtier than expected. Bottom line though is that I now know what it feels like to have your knee brushin' the pavement at full lean...........SICK!

Rolling the rubber off the edge of the rear tire is easy. When your showing no chicken strips on the front tire then you can talk ****. I'm not saying i'm the best at corners. But i know i'm not comparing myself to anyone on here! And Mike as far as a track day and the preparation, been there done that. Its not hard to tape off lights and safety wire a oil filter and plug. I already have taken the class to get my roadracing license. BEST thing i ever did on a bike to date.

freaker, corners is claiming to have ridden on the INSIDE wall of a tire....not melting the rubber off the edge of a tire, but actually progressing the chicken strip past the edge and onto the side of the tire....mike, i give you props on cornering that RS to it's fullest potential, but racers don't even ride on a sidewall....at least not without crashing...

I have to agree with Freaker it can be done and I can prove it ...... when you roll the edge of a tire in a corner the back end of the bike will do a "donut" action and you will get donut like ring on the road... and when I did it I almost put the bike down..... and almost better than no chicke strips on the front tire is haveing good tire in the middle and having the sides worn out... but I bet you won't beleve that ....... oh wait... I will drop the tire off to you as I am get new ones this weekend

Mike Dude I don't feel like less of a rider because i don't storm into corners i don't know. Dude that is how you crash and die. I usually ride through an area at a decent clip once then turn around and rip back through after knowing that there isn't any major obstructions on the road. If a guy can go down a road at full hilt that he's never been on before more power to him but i think that's just plain out ignorance and squidliness. Same with passing in a corner. Ok yeh you can ride my *** through a corner, under that pressure on the street i will let you pass me. I think it's rude as **** to pass someone in a corner and worse when they are not expecting it but some people we ride with don't care about that or don't want to. Thats fine, if they wanna ride my *** through a corner i'll let them pass. I'd rather have that than have me start to slip or have something jump out in front of me and have a fairing enema. If this makes them think they can corner better than me just because i let them pass me cause i was uncomfortable with them on my *** then so be it. Hell let's stop bitching about it and just go rip soime corners.......i'm off all week anyone else available during the days this next week?
