Exclamation Possible Lafayette rider down????

I just (10:30pm 8/23/04) got a call form mom that she saw two wreakers picking up a bike on the bridge (assuming 231), and I was wondering if anybody was on line and had heard anything. Hope everyone is OK. Post up if you have any info, I will do the same if I hear any more.

Be safe!!!!!

No doubt, hope everyone's alright. You guys wouldn't believe how many people get hurt up in this area. Main thing is there are tons more bikers......but traffic is also pretty dangerous also.

Re: Possible Lafayette rider down????

there's been a lot down this summer. probably, what, 10 bad wrecks? more? quite a few incidents too. speaking of which.. my legs hurt like hell. taking my weight, Paula's, and the TLR's onto my knee took it down to the muscle, and my left ankle was burnt down to the muscle as well. hurts like a **** but its healing nicely.

i don't know about this one, but add another to the list. some of you may know Cory, blue 04 gix six, went down early sunday morning around 5am. pretty wild, i rode him home and apparently he went down seconds after i had passed him as he was turning. i had heard rumors all week but it was confirmed tonight. he pretty much landed on his face, entire right side is rashed up. other than that he's up and kicking.

Re: Possible Lafayette rider down????

The riders who went down are Jay(????) and Alex(black and red F4i)-rides with A.J. and Brad(silver '03 thou)...... They just got a little too friendly for a sec, hehe. Everyone is ok(still living), sorry about not posting sooner, but I hadn't been over here when this site was not down. Anywhoo, it was Jay and Alex, and they are fine. And about Cory..... I've got some clues for sale, and HE NEEDS TO BUY SOME! I heard he said he was 12 '0clockin.... hmmm?! a rider with that much skill going down normal riding? Odd?! Anyway, when you guys are out and you see these idiots tryin to starboy it up, don't be afraid to kick them in the @ss or atleast pull them off to the side and tell them what's up. Thanks.

Corey is about the most squidish BS talking rider out there. I'm not suprised the dumbass was trying to **** he can't w/o a helmet either. Maybe those scars will remind him to think for once. Sorry to hear about Nick and Jay.

Re: Possible Lafayette rider down????

I hope that everyone is OK, or at least recovering well, and will be able get up and running before the season is over. And, I am with Mike on the buying a clue, and as much as I hate to under cut Mike, I’ll give them away to anybody that wants one, except Cory, I’ll charge him double. With the numbers of riders going down, and the influx of new riders (both new to the area, and new to bikes) because of school being back in, I think that we should all be more aware of our riding. And, those of us that have been riding for a wile, and can manage to keep the bike somewhat shinny side up, when we want to, we may want to watch how we ride around some of the newer guys, and gals, because I see a lot of people trying to mimic our styles, good and bad.

Just watch it out there, not only for yourself, but try to watch out for some of the younger riders, I just don’t want to be making any more visits to the local medical centers, for any reason. Well, maybe one more trip, but that will be for a positive reason, but that’s it, and if you don’t know what I’m talking about, your not the reason, so don’t get put in the hospital.

But, more importantly how is Cory’s bike, it didn’t deserve to die like that. And can someone get pictures of his face; to post as a, “this is your face on pavement,” add.

Nobody's got my style .... hehe, thank heavens! I do wear my helmet, and I wonder what the thought process is for these guys. Here's a guy(me) who wears my helmet(not out of necessity, but possibilty) so I would hope that a little thought might just go throught their heads(something like- 'hmm, this guy is pretty good, he's dragging whatever, he's steady.....but he's still wearing a helmet'). I think 'awww, that's easy' takes the place of their last thought.

yeah, we met up with some people we never seen before and decided to see if they wanted to ride...none of them had helmets, none of them had skillz, all of them were retarded, and on top of that they were talking about how they ride with all the local lafayette stunters. So watch out for a 92 kawasaki 500 and some other awsome stunt bikes out there this year!!! what a bunch of morons
