I Had a little thought on how to keep up with the blingy city folk while keeping my roots, and here's what I came up with:

Re: Lafayette, IN area pics
I think we need to get over 10,000 view in here. It also needs to be used for what it says: Lafayette Pics. Don't tell me all you riders don't have anything worthwhile so far this spring.
Due to recent events (new rider dying), I'm also putting into effect as of immediately my 'recking-ur-wride' prevention program. There are those among us who for some odd reason think they can just naturally ride like seasoned riders. Not true! We all know who they are, and maybe we were once one. Let this be a warning- If I see you acting stupid, I'm gonna take something (like my helmet) and whack you upside the head with it! I don't care where we are or what charges will be pressed, I'm not going to another funeral. A new rider hot-doggin' it through the levee and failing to negotiate a simple turn? Then after the fact, I hear that he was riding beyond his means without a helmet. Guess what?! Pull his (*&%*! @$$ off to the side and tell him about our friends we have lost, tell him it means something more to be a good and accepted rider than to buy the latest sportbike and try to look cool. It is all of our responsibility- Everyone.

Wear your gear, ride reasonably for your; Talent, road conditions, weather conditions, skill level, and did I mention your ability. I am just as guilty of neglecting my gear, but that will be something I will work on, as I know it works, it has kept my melon off the ground on a few occasions. But we all need to work together in a constructive way to help everyone survive riding season, which hasn’t even started yet and there has already been 2 or 3 deaths on cruisers, and one on a sport bike, locally.

Re: Lafayette, IN area pics
Back on the topic, however, not much new yet; I thought this picture was one that you would like Mike. If you look closely you can see parts of 5 different bikes that were sharing space in dad’s garage earlier this year.
Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to post the pictures of the Busa sporting the 71 tooth sprocket, it won’t be on there long, but it will be on there. Maybe I’ll try to ride it to Phoenix tomorrow, if I can keep form looping it on the way.

Contributing factors in the Lafayette area weight problem…too much ice cream…96 mini scoops between four people to be exact. Hopefully we can still fit on our bikes.
It really needs to warm up so we can ride instead of eat.

Mike, If you pull that off, it'd be a great thing. Maybe some mentoring thing. Bad thing is, you know just as much as I do, there are some people out there that are plain punks and won't listen nor give a shiat.
I guess I didn't hear about the loss already, there's been 3 deaths up here in April......nothing the last 2 weeks because the temps have kept ppl off the roads. Ride safe everyone
