You've seen my pics(in this forum and avatar).....yeah I got a helmet on in every one of them......regardless(ok, not the fiddy). I decided my brain was more important than my looks(which I don't have anyway). Mike can back me up on this. I was wearing mine since May. That's one thing I definately learned from him and the other BC guys, they wore their damn helmets. It was the Tilted Vision guys if anything that were the ones that thought they were too good to wear them.

we always wear them down here....i've had friends die because of that and in 2 of my wrecks i've shattered helmets to pieces, so there definately would have been no hope for me to live if i didn't have a helmet on.

Hey Jeff... the zip ties are holding the plastics on! not just together! Those are 750 plastics on a 1000. (I dont know how they havnt blown off) And the upper fairing... wow, it looks like aircraft metal underneath. Nice and neat with just short of 200 rivets or so. lol I think the tank holds 2 gallon less! Oh well, I've enjoyed that 1000 this summer. It started out looking good for daytona, then went street fighter, then this... and now I have new fur. (what the dog didn't eat off the bottom was gettin nappy, kinda like ur ridin') lol

Yeah I got that part fixed....here's a nice list of all the **** that Cory Temple(Action Mechanic btw) f'd up. I either lost time or money on all of these. I got it running today, but I need to order a spring for the carb's and it's ready to roar

#1-Lost a gasket-his expense:$10 mine:1.5 weeks
#2-gas tank put on wrong-my expense:couldn't hook up hoses, had to fix it myself
#3-broke a fuel clip-his expense:$60, mine:another 1.5 weeks
#4-refer to #3, except he forgot/lost a spring for the carb when reassembling, his expense:none, he didn't know it, mine:more lost time and $1.50(ordering tonight.....finish things up on christmas break)
#5-valve shims misplaced forcing valves open on 3 cyclinders; his expense: none, didn't know it if it bit him, mine: 3 months downtime and thanksgiving week tearing into the engine.

He didn goto action, he went to Cory, big difference there. The head mechanic at action is actually very good. If he does the work on yer bike you know it will be done right.
