Timothy Meyer
As I write this, 3 young boys, a wife, family members, and everyone who rides are losing a very special person. Tim has been in a coma since he wrecked his motorcyle while going for a late season ride this past Sunday. While on the way home to his family, he pulled one last wheelie near dusk, while details from witnesses are still sketchy, he was in a wheelie right before the wreck occured. After seeing everything involved, I believe that Tim was approaching a intersection when a car pulled across into his path. Tim was alone with no one lighting him up, and it would have been very difficult for the young lady driving the car to see a thin sliver of light coming from his '04 gixxer 6. As the car proceeded, Tim did what he could to avoid the accident. There is a black mark from the rear tire which kicks out a little to the right near the end, matching what the bike shows. It shows a last chance effort that resulted in a left hand lowside. Tim was with the bike until it hit just in front of the driver side rear tire. While revived within a very short amount of time at the scene, Tim's injuries included broken left arm and left shoulder, both lungs collapsed, spinal injuries, and head trauma, although he was wearing a helmet and jacket which you rarely, rarely, saw him without. Friends and family joined together as we prayed for new test results to come back positive. While new test were to be performed early next week, things took a turn for the worst this morning. This summer I've learned my way around the hospital and a few things about head trauma. While Tim was short of his 7 day peak for cranial pressure, and readings only 13-16 (10ish is normal), He peaked near 46-50 early this morning. This was not a good Thanksgiving day for most of us as we all received a call from friends letting us know that Tim would not be in this world much longer. As family donates his organs tomorrow, 35 year old Tim Meyer will do his last of his many good deeds in life. Timothy Meyer, you are deeply missed.

Re: Timothy Meyer
I am very sorry to hear what you are going through. If you guys decide to have a gathering of any sort for him, just PM me and i will be more than happy to help pull everyone together. Possibly a ride or a stunt show to help raise funds. My prayers are with you and all the people affected by this loss.

Re: Timothy Meyer
that's unfortunate. that's how my friend josh here in terre haute died. a car didn't see him in a wheelie and he hit the car broadside.
he must have been moving to have a serious injury to the head like that with a helmet.

First off, I wish to thank you all for the support shown here. It means a lot to the family. Just to see the Meyer's son's crayon drawings and letters laying next to Tim at the funeral was very emotional. Again, Thank You!
For those of you that didn't know Tim, or to jog your memory, he is one of the guys. This past year Tim finally was able to purchase a new GSXR. He had worked awfully hard for it while on 2nd shift at Wabash National. Tim used to ride an old red Kaw rocket, which there are pics floating around of. Originally he wanted to buy a '01 750 that I had, but Tim and I BOTH knew the history on that ole' girl, even though it was awful pretty. But I'm glad he held out for his new one. While working 2nd shift doesn't give you the window at night that most 1st shift/normal jobs give you, it still gives time to ride. Tim was very good friends with everyone, but I would say that among others, Chip(also a 2nd shifter), and Jessie(who bartends) were on the same schedule. These guys got together quite a bit this summer, whether it be riding with everyone, or weightlifting with Chip....and to be honest with you, Tim was definitely on my barfight backup list to call. Tim was....
To everyone helping out so far, thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. Jodi put together a DVD, and Chip put together some slides with music to make for a very memorable viewing today.
I'm also looking for ideas for a sticker if anyone has seen something easy to decal to do with riding, weightlifting, and hunting, please pm me.
Tomorrow is going to be tough, but we are going to meet at the hill at 10, and then go to Brookston for one last ride with Tim.

It looks to be a tough road ahead, but we hope to stay close to the boys and LeAnn and keep Tim's memory alive.

Re: Timothy Meyer
agreed. the way home was the single worst ride i've ever been on. i ran the house out of hot water when i got home, and i was still cold. it was awesome to have as many people ride out as we did, now that's respect/love.

Many will miss Tim, including myself; I had rode with Tim many times in the last two years, as I work the late shift as well. Tim was a great person who would help anyone out, with about any thing. And, he loved to ride.
RIP…Tim…you’ll be missed.
And for the record, it wasn’t that cold. I mean, it’s not the heat, it’s the humidity. But, you have to admit that Tim wouldn’t have had it any other way. It was good to see that there are a few of us that will ride for a friend in weather, that most normal people don’t even drive in.
