gsxr damper on my 636

added a little extra dampening to my 636. since my brand new Hyper-pro bracket broke and they wont gimme a new one cause i don't have a receipt 90weight gear oil and it is mint! i have to give credit to Ed from Legion for the design

Re: gsxr damper on my 636

He's full fairing as well. It was just off for setting it all up.

And I don't think he lifts up stoppies anywhere near that speed.

yes it will work for your bike as well! and im running FF too. and havent ridin with it yet, and my stoppies are garbage! but ill keep you updated as soon as i get them down better. im really gonna start working on them asap. oh and im running 90 weight in it.

i do have a hyper pro that i tried to mount there instead of the gixxer one but the mounting screw on the hyper pro is right on top of the cylinder and dosnt allow full side to side no matter how i tried it. IT has to be an off center mount like the gixxer one or like a toby i think!

ed from legion has my same set up on his 03-04 636 and hes bringing them up at that speed and hes only rocking 75 weight. he is adding a top mount hyper pro to the mix too just for added stability. not on yet tho and hes not getting any head shake that i know of. i as well will be adding my hyper pro on too as soon as i get a new bracket

Re: gsxr damper on my 636

looks good nick. put a washer against the frame to protect the aluminum and to even out the force from the bolt when you turn. heavy ones and you might have to cut the bottom one alittle due to the shape of the frame.

to the person that posted still getting head shake you probly have air in it giving you a dead spot. rebleed by damper get all the air out. i use a needle to inject the fluid forcing out all the air works real good.

Re: gsxr damper on my 636

mine barely clears also and it touchs the left ram air cover super super lightly... when full turn right but its so minimal it will not affect anything.

oh and i had to grind some plastic off the bottom of the fairing stay
