05 zx6r running like a$$, please help.
OK, So my 05 zx6r is running on two cylinders until i hit 3500 rpm, then the other two snap in to effect. when the bike is warmed all the way up..190+ it does it until about 5k rpm. some times i "clear it's throat" rev it up to about 10k and then it will run better for a bit...it does not effect top end performance at all. At idle it will run on 2, and intermittently it will pop the other two on.
Yhings I've done to try and remedy this: Change air filter (stock was clogged with spider webs...the bike sat for a while) Run fuel treatments, take it on a long highway trip with treatment in tank. I do not think it's an injector problem...or vacuum problem or a leak of air...so my next guess is spark. Can anyone tell me about these "coil over caps" that these bikes have...i'm new to the new age of motorcycles. I can do anything to a carb. bike, just this fuel injection and all these sensors...last thing i was to do is mess with those. I'm not sure if they are called coil over caps...that's just what i've heard...Spark plug caps is what i mean...And for gods sake i have some valve noise (oil level is fine)...it sounds like just one vavle tapping away. suggestions? please help.
