so here's the story of the bike... its a 2005 i bought it in like march of 2006 then it sat for about 6-8 months then i started practicing on it in the lot. i bought the bike from wesbound cycles and the way they got a hold of it was putting a mechanics lean on it because the guy never came and picked it up so they gave me the paperwork to get it registered with a clean title i just never did it because i just kept it in the lot where it doesnt matter. so i've ridden it for 3 years now and its a great bike never had any major problems with it and i have always taken real good care of it and always kept up with the maintence on it and all that good stuff.
i never had any major accidents til 2 months ago on it when i flipped a stoppie. the front ended up gettin kinda messed up from it so i replaced the triple and the front axle because it was obvious both of those were bent. when i put the front end back together though i did notice one of the forks is slightly bent just barely but it really isnt even noticeable just wanted to point it out though. it really isnt bad just wouldnt want to be comin in hot on a 2nd gear stoppie or nothin. all one would need to do is get a new set of forks which is super cheap and take them down to your local shop and get them to switch out the springs and shims and it would be perfect!! but thats the only real problem with the bike all in all.
i had actually gone through in october and changed out a bunch of stuff to freshen the bike up for 2010. i probably rode it like 10-12 times since i did all this
here's a list of everything i did:
new wiring harness
new ECU
new seals in all the calipers on the bike
fresh fork seals and fluid
new gas tank
new seat
new sick cage
had valves adjusted
here's a full list of what its got on it:
sick innovations cage, round bar and tail saver
fi clip ons
hohey Street Fighterz 4 Piston Dual Caliper setup with a star rotor
hohey rearsets
all steel braided lines
racetech springs and shims
yoshimura shorty slip on
OMR subcage
DCP radiator cage
both front and handbrake master are radial
black powdercoated frame, swingarm, and subframe
candy blue powdercoated wheels
1000rr throttle setup for longer cables
brand new race tail
pretty new gold chain and sprockets - 4 months old not much time on em
GPR stabilizer hardware but im keeping the stabilizer unless you throw in an extra $300
extras coming with the bike:
1 extra set of stock rims and an additional powdercoated front rim
stock fairing stay
new clutch cable
i dont have any recent pictures of the bike im still letting the paint dry on the new tail section and i got 1 or 2 things left to do on it but i will have pics up by the weekend. the fairings are a lil different from whats in the pics it now has a red OEM right side, blue OEM left side, silver and red OEM tank with a nice dent, blue front fender and the tail section is going to be gloss black.. and no upper!!
