ok so the other night i broke the frame on my honda AGAIN.. searched craigslist and found a 07 bone stock 8000 miles. but the story the guy gave me was he just went through a breakup and the bike was bought in his girls name and he is not going to finish paying for it.. so there goes the title.

all i need is the frame. my bike is for doing shows and riding the lot only so i could careless about a title but the bike is brand new looking and i can get it pretty cheap... i guess my question is. should i take a fresh minty bike and part it just because the title or would there be a better use for it. its never even been dropped. i got pictures he sent me on my home pc i will post later. i guess i am making the trip tomorrow to get it either way. just not sure if i should flip it. or part it

Id part it. then you get your frame plus depending on the price you will probably make most of your money back.

well i went to look at it.. busted ignition/gas cap. so i assume he is lying and just straight stole the damn thing.. offered it for a grand. damn it. not sure what to do. its minty as hell ran and pulled super strong. 8000 miles not a scratch on it. a frame is gonna cost more that a grand, but do i really wanna run a hot frame? i wouldnt care if he was stealing from a finance company but its more than likely a fellow rider

I think bike thieves should rot in hell. Hoepfully be ran over by a semi-truck while they are riding down the road on someone elses hard earned bike...No way in hell would i give my money to a thief (knowingly). I dont care how cheap he is selling ****. I'd rather give the **** a bullet is his fuxing dome and save the world the hassel with dealing with his useless azz later on in life. But hey thats just my opinion...=-)

i agree totatly.. he could be legit says his x keept the keys. i wrote down the vin i am going to call and have them checked tomorrow. but i had a bike stolen once no insurance and it sucked ***. so if thats the case i have just gotta let it pass. i ant a nark or anything. i just dont want involved, just sounds fishy, i mean look how fresh it is. if he just owed three grand like he says anyone would just pay it off and have a nice bike. so i will know tomorrow when i run the numbers at the dmv

but thanks everyone for chiming in with your oppinions. were all in this lifestyle together and i dont want somones stolen bike. i will find a good frame somewere. i got nothing but time. plus its not my only bike so i can be patient

i thought i made it clear.. i don't **** with stolen ****. that's why i took the vins to verify today. if its stolen i don't want it. not even for free. like stated all i need is a frame. if the bike is hot it would be stupid to do all the work just to end up with a hot frame. plus thief's can rot in hell as far as i am concerned

any officer can run a vin and check if its hot or not. ive had to do it on a few that ended up being hot that **** pisses me off! ive had quite a few good friends bikes bein stole, they need to rot in hell! id find a cop to run the vin, if its hot, throw the ad at him and tell him he can go buy it, even if the storys true, im sure his ex dont want him fukin up her credit, it will prob be reported sooner or later..

yea , once again. i am not a snitch if it comes back stolen i am not going to buy it and or do anything else about it.... the pigs can do there own work. i just need a frame. someone just pm'ed me a price on one 1900 with title. its 900 more than this complete bike but well worth it for a good clean NON stolen frame. so thats probably the route i will be taking............ thanks again guys

but on another note this bike is coming from greenville south carolina if anyone thinks they may know the owner " if it was stolen" then i will give you the info to deal with it yourself.... but **** the police. i hate cops as bad as thiefs and dont wanna deal with either of them.
