Im a first time rider, ran out two months ago and bought a 2001 R6 rebuilt title. thinking about selling or trying to trade for 99-02 with clean title. im waiting for the title to come back in my name as salvage so i can go through the salvage exam over again (im in ny so it wouldnt recognize the rebuilt) i do not want to wait 2 more months to ride. so if sold or traded it will be a salvage title. i do realize there not technically the same price but my bike is a custom Hok, polished swingarm, frame, wheels, jardine exhaust, piazzo racing levers, intergrated tail light, heavy duty chrome swing arm license plate bracket. stunt it out if you want. perfect for a female... or to buy or trade for your chick... its a Hok hot pink pearl.

i also have the dot approved front and back blinkers and license plate holder to go through exam

I paid 3500 3 months ago for it and had to fix so much ****, and it was missing mad bolts that i had to replace, this bike is sucking the life and summer out of me!!! Price firm as is.

So i just looked at the kelly blue book value for a 2001 R6 with the same amount of miles as my bike and the retail value is $4225... so my bike being a rebuilt/salvage bike how much less should it be? i really have no idea how much the title status affects the price. does anyone know? trying to figure out how bad i got ripped off...

kelly blue book is never an accurate gauge on how much bikes go for. like it says ur 01 retails for 4225 and i just picked up an 05 mint, clean title with 1000s in extra parts for 4500 and it wasnt the only one i found like that. there was atleast 10 more in the ny craigslist for that price. kbb and sites like that show you an unrealistic dealer price. if anyone paid 4200 for an 01 r6 theyre ******* retarded. ur bike looks to be in good condition but the title status does make ppl stray because of the uknowns on what really happend to the bike and such. also being in ny the salvage inspection is a pain in the ***. personally i wouldnt pay more than 2gs for it.

to be honest with u i say he ripped u off about 1800 cause i just sold and 06 clean title like 8xxx miles for 3900 only had very light scuffs on the side i think if u can find someone that gives u around 2500 for the bike ur lucky but the best of luck to u

id be happy to get 3k for my 02 with jets, custom seats, 12bar, cage, and handbrake, and a clean title so it prob gonna be hard for you to get your $ back outa this. but good luck and let me know what happens with you title situation.
