01XR650R Supermoto FT/FS
Not looking for stunt bike,per-se. I do like 636's, preferably not beat to ****. Not picky, just hate having two of these same bikes, I want another street bike. Show me what you got, PM pictures or if you want a quick response my phone and email are at the bottom.
2001 XR 650R. $3300/Trade for ???
-Under 3500 miles on bike(calculated via time in woods by previous 55 y/o vet b owner and my 4 full tanks of gas through the bike since conversion)
-Valves not needing any adjustment as of first week of May after I purchased it. Ridden 3x Since, to work and back, roughly 60 miles round trip down two 55mph speed limited highways.
-17" Excel wheels laced to stock hubs
-160 Conti-Force SM rear and 120 Metzler front. Both were put on when I purchased bike and switched to the Excels. Still have little rubber nobbies on them.
-Fresh brake pads front and back.
-Big front EBC brake conversion
-Bar end sliders(not shown in pics)
-Supermoto Designs axle sliders front and rear(not shown in pics)
-Full synthetic honda genuine oil change and fresh filter done before riding the bike after I purchased it, roughly under 250 miles ago.
-SM front fender
-Cut and shaved side number plates for better look.
-LED rear light
-Billet red annodized gas cap/breather(not shown in pics)
-Acerbis dual projector front (not pictured) Both included with bike
It starts smoothly without hesitation or having to even use the choke , runs well, and could be hopped on without problems and ridden daily AS IS. I have ordered a new Acerbis headlight for it, as I dont like the lighting pattern of the one currently on it. I wanted it for the look of having numbers on the bike like an actual supermoto bike, but if not sold I will thrown a new headlight on it.. I payed 2800 for the bike in dirt trim in May. It was re-jetted when I bought it and it runs worlds better now. I have since put the stock pipe back on it and it is gutted and de smogged along with the intake. I am in the process of making a custom exhaust part of why the jetting is off right now, all 3 of which I own will include with the sale of the bike if the purchaser would like. One Kerker can and custom mid-pipe, one factory modded YZ450f can/mid pipe which I had planned on using with my custom kerker mid pipe but that is up to the future owner.
My godfather owns a Suzuki dealership, and everything ever done to the bike was done there. I own a 94 XR650L, the version of this bike that came street legal and have street tires on it, which was the reason why I bought this bike. The 17" wheel and big brakes make this bike a much more amazing street bike, which was what I was looking for. For comparison of how much I ride, my 93XR-L has 3200 miles on it. I am the second owner.
With any questions please email me, and I will respond immediately same day.
