Fully set up 2005 636 (outside chicago)
Read the whole thread to get all the info about price and title status before asking questions please.
I bought this off of BVRIDER this last summer and have seriously barely rode it. I got it to try and get back in the game, but unfortunately alot of work, traveling, and lack of money got in the way of that. Now i'm looking to get rid of it so i can get a decent car for winter (i pretty much already have the one i want lined up so not looking to trade really)
$3,000 cash takes it
I bought it for $4000 (you can ask him) with a salvage title from michigan, and when i went to title it in Illinois, they tried to send me a letter saying that it at one point in time had a Illinois salvage title, and that it would need to be inspected because it was titled in another state. I unfortunatley didn't get that letter in time for the inspection, so i now have no idea what the status is, definitly not clean, some sort of salvage, but yea. I have the letter from the secretary of state, which i will give to the new owner with a bill of sale. NOT STOLEN, no funny business, ask BVRIDER, he knows its straight, i really just don't have the time to deal with title and inspection crap right now. Plus i have NO truck to bring the thing anywhere.
SI cage
Roundbar
HoHey tripletree
Dual caliper bracket
600rr Handbrake master (i believe)
The only things i've changed since buying it is that i took off the Cyclops headlight on the front and just mounted the HID straight to the frame with no little fake windshield thing, and mounted the cluster to the handlebars a little better then they were before. Oh, and i moved the key switch because once the clutch cable moved the key while riding and turned off the bike, you can easily move it back up to the triple, but i like it on the frame better.
Pretty street legal other then no mirrors or blinkers, the controls and wiring are still there, but doesn't have them, but it does have a brake light, lol.
Cash talks
Sorry no delivery, like i said, no more truck.
Hit me up on here, or email me at davegixxer@gmail.com with any questions or if you want my cell number....

like i said, it was totaly titled before, and probably can be again, but i just don't have the time, money, or motivation. Me selling it for a G less then i bought it for, for someone else to figure it out sounds resonable to me.....

You don't send in a salvage title to the state and get a bill of sale back if there's no funny business goin on.

what? i didn't comprehend what your statement entails......
from the letter i got, it sounds like at one point in time, the bike had an illinois title and was salvaged. Then BVRIDER bought it and titled it in Michigan and rode it on the streets no problem, then i bought it from him and went to the dmv, they gave me plates and said the title would be in the mail within 6-8 weeks, then i got back in town from vacation and got a letter saying that
"Issuance of a certificate of title for vin # JKBZXJC125A017662 has been delayed due to an effor detected by the automated title system. Our computer records indicate this vehicle was once issued an illinois salvage certificate prior to this vehicle having a title issues by another state. Therefore, this office must assume the vehicle has been rebuilt.
Illinois law requires rebuilt salvage vehicles have two safety inspcetions pursuant to section 3-303(4) of the illinios vehicle code"
Quotes from the letter i got......

lol, yea a 14 hour drive is rough, i've done it before (well 7 one way and 7 back, so 14 total). and yes, aurora is where waynes world was based... and it was funny because i was in cali filming a tv commercial for my work and the director of the commercial asked where i was from and i said aurora, then he laughed and said waynes world, i told him i hear that all the time, then he laughed again and said "no its funny because i was in that movie!" i had to watch it again to see, but yea, he was totally wayne and garths friend that did the audio stuff for their show in the basement
