well until i re read the whole thread over again and realized there was no vin. if there was a vin still on the bike and i called the dvm, if they came back clean then there could be something worked out.

i was just saying if it really is stolen i wouldnt be posting it forsale on a nationwide forum ya know. i guess some people dont care

it's not that he doesn't care.. he's just not very smart. there is never a legitimate reason why someone doesn't have a title.. simple as that.. and if u're selling something with no title.. u don't ask 3g's

yea i know thats why i thought it had a vin cause he didnt mention it not having a vin tag plus his asking price. i know some people that had cars that lost the titles to them and never applied for a new one or people that have bought abandoned vehicles so i could see if he just lost it but this is different.

and on a side note i thought you were gonna get me pics of your bike fool haha i got cash burning a hole in my pocket :YEAH

I recently picked up a 929, and it took me a LONG time to find. After reading this thread I have to say its probably in your best interest to be patient and wait for something else to come along. this may be true but for us who are looking to get them registed a bike like this makes that alot harder if not impossible.

A lot of stunters do in fact ride lots with no vins, but no one is saying they are smart. Stunting in a lot, even if you have permission, is illegal. No matter if private property or on a freeway, it's the same ticket. If a cop is dick enough to give the ticket, he is dick enough to check numbers. It is also illegal to run a bike with no numbers. I have had my numbers checked by the cops more than once. You will get screwed, it's just a matter of time.

yea totally. i know of a few people that got nabbed up in lots and the cops asked for all the id's motorcycle licenses/permits checked vins and inspections. they all had good legit bikes and got off with a warning even w/o licences and inspections but they wouldnt if they had no vins i assure you that. if you got a legit frame you could get around this but the hassle is alot

not to mention the engine has a vin on it also. normally in plain view. if your neck vin looks off they will run the others and figure it out.
