Re: Battle of the cages poll. Who makes the best and why?

I can't say anything off of experience yet - I ride an F3 - Nobody makes a cage for it. So, I'm limited to building my own cage. But, I tell you, as soon as a cage and 12 bar are made for it, I'm game.

Re: Battle of the cages poll. Who makes the best and why?

I'm not gonna get into who makes the best. but from my latest experiance with 905, I'd say these fool have probably the best business ethics I've seen in any company in a long time. They are solid people and will do ANYTHING to help anyone. Of course I havnt hung out with the FI guys, and I'm sure they are solid people but 905 gets MAD respect from me.

Re: Battle of the cages poll. Who makes the best and why?

i dont have one yet, i have seen alot of crashes and it seems like its all rider preference like everything else. i personally want a FI , just for the fact that that they seem to hold up with minimal damage to the bike. my big concern is the motor, you **** up the cases or the head, your down for awhile, i could careless about clipons and rearsets(e-bay is the stunters best friend) so i would say go with the one that is actually tested and proven to have less of a chance ****in up your bikes motor. now as for cost, damn these ****** are expensive, i would just like to see shipping included to help cushoin the blow of the cost, they are worth it, but stunters are poor!!!!lol hell its hard to come up with over 300 bucks after you add shipping. but i can see with the cost of testing and everything else why he has to charge what he does.

Re: Battle of the cages poll. Who makes the best and why?

I have to say 905 all the way!!! Had FI first and the slider part of the cage went right through my motor after the first crash. 905 s*&t i can destroy all day and never worry. And once again they will break their backs to make sure YOUR bike is running at all times. Check it out - Warren

Re: Battle of the cages poll. Who makes the best and why?

Ordered a cage the other day and one of my boys wanted one too so I called back to see if they could add another to my order and they waived shipping on the second cage even though they're coming in separate packages. Then Aarron told Steph to cut me a great deal on a 12 bar since I'm ordering 2 cages, so they knocked $50 off the 12 bar for my bike!

I know I couldn't be happier, now I just gotta wait for them to get here
OUTSTANDING customer service from 905!

I also used to rock the F.I. extended sliders and although I never went down on them, they hold the entire bike off the ground so they'd be a great alternative for someone who can't afford a cage yet.
Both companies get a from me

I vote for Adam of SBH. Although I havent put one of his cages to the test, I maintain a friends bike who has one. I have seen every wreck, and Adam builds good stuff. When I get my stunt bike, thats where Im going. His cages (for a 929 at least) hold up great. I am not going to bash other makes, because this all comes down to what you want. Some people dont want the bar on the bottom. Some do. Whatever you like, there is no need to bash anyone. Unless they caused a major problem like charging you and never sending your product, and not making the situation right. I am sure all the cages have weak points, but that would take alot more R&D to overcome. And that means more $$$. I have seen most cages take hard hits and not break, and I have seen the same cages take soft hits and come apart. Anything welded has a good chance of having a flaw and most people in this buisness dont have the $$$ for expencive equipment that can X-ray every weld. Untill then, there will be flaws in some. Just my .02.
