Re: GSXR oil pick up?

It took a total of 2 minutes to put it on. Haven't had a chance to 12 on it yet but I will tomorrow. So far just riding it down the street it gets the oil.

Re: GSXR oil pick up?

The only thing that I can see as being a problem is there is no kind of filter system so if you have any shavings in the pan it's going to get sucked up. So I guess I'm going to have to rig something up eventually. Yea they are working on other bikes but right now it's mainly for gsxr.

I'm sure that stops most of it but some still gets in. On the stock oil pickup there is a screen in the middle of it. I don't know I haven't had any problems with it but just to be extra safe.

Re: GSXR oil pick up?

Ok that fixed the oil problem. But now the tip sensor is ****in up and I can't set it on the bar for more than a few seconds before it wants to die, i have to lay into the gas for it to stay up. At least thats what I hope the problem is.

Have you already glued the ring in the center of the tip sensor still?

Re: GSXR oil pick up?

I'm going to do that thursday. I'm pretty sure thats what it is because I moved the bar in more than it was and before it wasn't a problem.

That's your tipover sensor, has nothing to do with your oil pickup. I run Stuntex oil pickup and it's worth every penny and more. About the stoppies, it's not that big of deal because your bikes only at idle anyway. I do a lot of stoppies, (some extremely high) and no problems.

if you don't want to become an expert on throwing in multiple engines in your bike pick it up and put it on. I'm ingorant when it comes to working on things, and I put it on by myself, lol. (doesn't need a filter screen on it, don't obsess, )
