Why??? If you are going to swap rear rims for a wider one...go with the 900rr. I think they are both 5.5" wide rims and the 900rr has the same spokes as the F3. My boy did this to his old F3.
He did it kinda ghetto. He measured the inside width of a 900rr swingarm, them took a BIG clamp and clamped the outside of his swingarm so that when it was streached it would stop at the right width. He then took a jack and spread the swing arm to the right width. He cut the axle and found a solid piece of steel that fit the inside diameter of the F3 axle and welded it so that it was the right length.
I am amazed that it worked...he rocked it for over a year...then went out and bought a 900rr.
I was thinking about doing this, but use and F4i swingarm (correct width), but for what you gain it was a pain it the ***.
I don't know what you are trying to accomplish, but I use to run 180's on the rear of my F3 (for rockin ****). I wouldn't trust that if I were hauling ***....and it didn't look too much wider.
