how long should the factory clutch last? last night i had to adjust my lever three different times as i kept losing clutch. i beat the crap out of it everytime i ride so i wouldnt be surprised if it were bad, its got 13000 miles on it.

You should probably replace the fibers and springs, the steels should still be good. Be careful when you change it, it can only go one way. The steels have a sharp edge and a round edge; put the sharp edge out.

I just replaced my entire clutch on my 929 with 17,000 miles on it. For 140 bucks I got a barnett kit with plates, springs and fibers. I installed it myself, and the clutch snaps nice and sharp--PERFECT for 12's.
