Re: ?'s abt wheelies on powerful bikes

i've rode and stunted on all the '04's. the liters have a ton of power and power it up real easy. even the six's power it right up in third around 8k-ish. im not comfortable with clutching yet. so i still power everything. as for first gear on the 10. it's pretty wild. the one i rode had about 7k worth of extras. that bitch was fast as hell.

Re: ?'s abt wheelies on powerful bikes

inolen, I couldn't agree with you more, what in the hell are you thinking if you're telling a newbie to try to learn to power wheelie instead of clutch??? Especially with the power that todays bikes have, power wheelying is a stupid way to learn, or even to do them period. With clutch you can bring it right up to balance point nice and quick, and it's very predictable as to how high it's going to come up at any revs.
If you power it up you don't know when it's going to just start flying up and going over. What is wrong with people recomending this over clutch????

Re: ?'s abt wheelies on powerful bikes

because people are afraid to clutch and power works for them, so they recommend it to others. i have a friend who just geared his bike so that he could power it up in higher gears. absolutely wont clutch it

Re: ?'s abt wheelies on powerful bikes

if it works for you it should work for everybody right?

thats the mentality. yes powering is easy. but if your in experianced that can be quite dangerous.

what ever you do just TAKE YOUR TIME!!
