Not sure on how to disconnect it but all you have to do is turn the bike off and then on again when u go down and you should be good. Its not super sensitive either. IOW it won't turn off on you when you are doing 12's or circle skitching either. Only when u go down.

Only time I ever had my R6 **** off is when I came down hard from a really high stoppie. The jolt just kinda kicked it off. Are you smackin the bar kinda hard? maybe? I dunno. I know to do the mod on a gixxer you simply fill the area around the pin with an adhesive of your choice. Do a search... it's on here somewhere. I remember reading it. Good luck.
