I've heard all the oil stories, now I want to hear some of the fixes. There is no way that people are stunting the newer R1's without having figured out how to help the oil problems, so share your knowledge so that I don't have to figure it out the hard way

just run a little extra havent heard too much or yamahas having problems so i think you should be fine with 1/2 over

I had heard something about them dumpping oil back into the air box. Know anything about that? Half over should keep me pretty safe though??? Guess if the majority (other makes) are doing it with little problems then it must be working.

btw, I have done a search. I just didn't find what I was looking for...mainly b/c the search is biased against the R1 (won't search a 2 letter word).

ive just twelved my 02 r1 for the first time and yes it pumps oil out the crank case breather into the air box then out the drain onto the road ill plug original breather and modify the case so at twelve the breather port is higher im away at the moment but will post results as im done
