04 r1
my buddie just picked up an 04 r1. looks like the kid who owned it before threw it off a building or something. i know some of you have rebuilt bike from the gruond up. this bike a a good engine, frame(not subframe), wires, clipons, forks/tripletree/ rims and tires, trans, gears and chain, its basically a rolling chassi.
how much would it be to replace everything going through new and used parts on ebay? don't get all technical on me. just and estimate for the kid. i wanna make sure its worth it for him he picked it up for 1,800, i thoiught it was a good deal. i've seen subframes go on their for 2,000.

well, the only bad thing is that there aren't, from what i've seen, a lot of used parts yet....but, if he wants to get rid of it....sell it to me..i'm looking for one right now...!! i'm not joking, if he really wants to get out of it, call me now!!!!

to give you an idea my '04 636 was layed down at a party and trashed. with new plastics, tank, subframe and swingarm it cost me 3000 to fix with all new parts. thats including all the little parts that add up. i seen a complete faring kit for the 04r1 on ebay for 400. and you can build the sub frame yourself. it wouldn't cost much. if he doesn't want to fix it up let me know i'll take it off his hands.
