yeah i know lots of guys that rock highchairs and spreaders with grip tape..im about to get some to make my spreaders eaiser..also if you do that becareful not to slam down highchairs or spreaders or your *** might cave the tank in.

eventually the tank is going to weaken and dent anyways, i rock grip tape and a dented tank, you can snap your spreaders up to balance real fast that way.

check out this site, you can custom make the design you want for sufrboard grip tape. costs $20something a sheet but it wont tear up yer jeans

grip tape wont ruin jeans if you dent the tank(its goin to dent eventially,anyways) and leave a lip on the back and then only put tape on inside of lip.
skate shops will usually give you there scape tape for free if you ask.
