Re: Circles without raised idle
think everyone uses idle for circles..and throttle etc
i heard fe wpeole just trying to do circle without using idle at all, basically hold throttle open, mash back brake...
pointless though if u ask me
catcach: u dont...how u doing that no hander in that pic, i bet ur idle is up

Re: Circles without raised idle
The reason why I'm asking if you can do circles without raising the idle is because I ride my bike to work and want to just bust the circles (one day) without hearing that continuous rev sound (raising the idle) > then just ride away like nothing... I can imagine real good throttle control . Again, just want to know if anyone is doing it; everyone I know cranks up the idle.
56k - give me a call. Need more practice. My bike has been acting up too lately > broke down on the damn freeway (more than once). Anyway, I'm back > circles > soon...

Re: Circles without raised idle
james consider the idle mod me ,mana, and chozz has........ the **** is controlling the throttle so the reacts way faster than the idle screw would..... one full twist is like 3000rpm up so its easy to change back and forth....... i was doing it when we was at tracks last time when i was switchign between my slow wheelies and endos.

Re: Circles without raised idle
It would be usefull to have throttle that would have release position.
I try to expain, If you would throttle it up and release the throttle, it would just drop back to 3k, but if you would twist it to less throttle, it would then drop back to original 1k?.
This would enable rolling wheelies and still you could nail that throttle completely off, if your going to loop it.

Re: Circles without raised idle
don't know what you guys are trying to explain .
my point here is I want to do circles with just throttle control (and brake of course) but without raising the idle like everyone does...
wondering if you know anyone who does it like this? > I think it will be harder

Re: Circles without raised idle
don't know about you, but turning my idle up and down takes 2 seconds.
Just hold the throttle, instead of the normal clutching up a wheelie then forgetting about your throttle hand. What MikeM said.

Re: Circles without raised idle
ya, you can do them...they become a little choppy so you gotta do 'em faster...
i practiced it so that i could go from circles to mad combos right after (during a freestyle run)..i dont like combos with the idle up cuz you cant use the engine braking as much...
so yes, you can, but it is better to just quickly adjust yoru idle...my method is two turns up or down-id ont look where that puts the idle, i just know that it is close enough..
