Re: Engine F@cked again!!

just sold my 9rr for 1100$

what kind of motor is it? is it the 93-95 motor? if so then i suggest getting a 96 or newer 919. they are a lot stronger.

also, once you spin the bearings, it's more likely to do it again, especially if there is a burr or something on the crank.

Re: Engine F@cked again!!

you would have to cut the frame and reweld it and basically use all the 954 parts, it'll be more expensive than finding a wrecked 954.....cause the swingarm on the 54 mounts through the motor, very unlike the 900.

and i ran 1/2-1 quart over in all my bikes and haven't had a problem yet.

Re: Engine F@cked again!!

Man Mines got huge miles on it with no problems. 1/2 qt high here to. Hel! I'd like to say I was all over oil changes but I wasn't. Great motor. Hard to say it but the 900RR's are getting long in the tooth.

you'll end up buying so many parts it'll be more expensive than buying a 954, i can bet money on it.

also, what are you going to do about your swingarm mount? the motor is the mount on teh 54 but not the 900.....with all those mods, it's not even going to be a 900. you're going to have to cut and weld teh frame, for that trouble might as well just buy a 954 frame and then you are back to square one of BUY A 954.
