'02 R1 tip-over switch

Does anyone know anything about this, and how to disable it? I am getting tired of my bike dying during rolling stoppies.

If anyone knows something I don't that my be causing this I'd love that info too.

Thanks

See that's just it...I'm not sure if it does, and that is why I'm asking about it. If I do a stoppie from any respectible speed the bike will stall about half way through the roll. Sometimes I can just start it back up. Other times it throws an error code and I have to turn the key off and back on before it will let it start.

Yeah, just stoppies...wheelies are fine. I can't remember the code right now, and I have the bike torn down to replace the radiator. Once it is back together I'll go give it hell and see if it will throw the code.

Re: '02 R1 tip-over switch

Found the code, it was #30 which relates to the lean angle snesor. That means that the sensor IS what is killing my bike.

Now I need to know how to bypass it. Any thoughts?

you need to find out if its a neg or pos ground if its a neg you can just snip the wires and tie em together and it will disable it completely, and if its a pos you could just go get a switch and wire it in and cut the sensor out completely and use the switch, you could even use that as an alarm or like a starter kill too
