Help on slow sit downs

I have an 01 gixxer 600 -1/+2. I had been attempting slow wheelies in first, but its way too twitchy. I have started doing them in second gear now and its way better, but they move around so much. I will be going about 10mph maybe less, rev high and slip, it comes right up to balance point, but I cant keep it there because the bike wobbles so much or I start accelerating and loose the balance point. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can fix this problem. Should I jack up the idle? Pull in the clutch and coast? Hit the rear brake faster? Help.

Learn in 1st gear. You will get used to the bike feelin twitchy..practice...Learnin 12's take a little time. Drop your tire pressure between 15-18 psi while learning. Stare at your triple tree or gas tank..this will help your balance side to side. If you get going too fast, put it down and try again. Faster u go the quicker it can get outta shape.
