Re: oil pickup

How necessary is this on a gixxer? How long of a wheelie begins to starve the motor of oil? Does anyone have a pic of the oil pickup and where it is located. I have never done this mod before. Is this my problem if I see little bubbles in my oil window?

Re: oil pickup

I never realized how necessary this mod is until I put mine in. The stock pickup runs far forward and must starve in a high wheelie.

I highly reccommend it and am very happy I decided to try one.

Very neccesary, if youre on one wheel.

A gsxr probably starts suckin air at 9:00 or better. Wheelie length doesnt really matter, what matters is if the oil tubes in oil or in air.

Re: oil pickup

It only takes about an hour to put on super easy. 03 and 04 GSXR thous dont have pan gaskets they are just glued on but the gasket from an 02 fits its exactly the same thats what I did. Only problem with stuntex pickup is oil light comes on when you do endos 1/4 to 1/2 quart over still good idea.
