Visor tinting

Visor tinting
I'd like to tint my visor so that people can't really see my face, not so much for the purpose of blocking out the sun though. Of course, I could go out and buy a visor but they're so expensive. Does anyone know if you can take a sheet of the tinting paper that is usually used for car windows and use that on the inside of your visor?
I would think that you could but I want to ask and see if anyone has before I go and try it.
I'm mainly looking for the ouside to appear black and still be able to see out with minimum light filtering.
