f2 twelve bar(Pics)

This is my scrape bar me and my father-in-law made. Even though he doesn't like the way I ride he was a pretty nice guy and helped me anyway. :YEAH He owns newco hydraulics, a diesel and hydraulic shop. I might put a 2in. bar on the back since it looks a little skinny. Last week I bent the subframe and cracked the frame trying to gpark. tell me what ya all think. Before this, it was a bolt on version, if anyone is interested in me fabricating bars for them. Also looking to start making cages soon.

Looks pretty good. But, bolt you a bigger plate on the back. It'll park better that way too.

Re: f2 twelve bar(Pics)

I would have welded the bar along the subframe a little farther. That part you welded it to is the weakest part of the subframe. I'm not knockin your bar.. it just doesnt look very safe and it looks like its a little too long.

Re: f2 twelve bar(Pics)

i did bend it at the weakest point like you said. So i'm thinking of reinforcing it along the subframe.

Re: f2 twelve bar(Pics)

Take a look at this pic. Cut off the tip of the subframe at the red lines, then hammer steel rods into whats left. Hammer them all the way into your subframe, even past the two bends near where it welds to the frame. Those bends are a weak spot, and this will fix that. Then weld some 2 inch C channel to the sides of the subframe for your bar. Make the bar so that its about 3 inches past the end of the seat, and dont for get to let the air out of your tire when you set the angle on the scrape plate.

The bar is way to long and weak. You need your bar on that model like a few inches from the rear seat before you can ever park it or slide it to where its really stable. Learn your rear brake control also before you ever start parking, clutch ups right to parking will kill your subframe, if thats what youre doing...
