those of you that are good at spreaders, do you think that 2nd gear is a better gear to do them or 1st. i notice that when i clutch them in 1st i keep them pretty slow and i like that. but 2nd would be good on the freeway huh? any advise is appreciated. thx. :YEAH

Re: -=SPreAdErS=-
i used to hold second for days on the highway, but it'd been a long time since i've done spreaders at all, especially in second, second was always easier for me for some reason, first i have to get it balanced quick or otherwise im all over the place.

Re: -=SPreAdErS=-
I did my first spreader yesterday.... Pulled it up in 2nd, and damn it felt good. I was a littler nevous though because my tank isn't beat in and I don't have grip tape on. Started sliding back so I put her down.

yeah my tank is dented and fabricked, cause its ugly. Are you from team outtermost? i saw their video on uponone.com, man thier awesome. Also if you go to uponone.com check out the stl shockers those guys have some sick tank skills on the freeway. Clutch on my 900rr is going out so its hard to get it up in 2nd. But if i re-gear my f4i it should be no prob right?
Thx for any help

Re: -=SPreAdErS=-
I used to be able to get 2nd gear spreaders on my f4i w/ stock gearing and it only had 45t instead of 46t rear which most are. I only weigh like 140 though. i doubt it would do it with stock gearing now tho that was back in its fresh days,
