drifting to one side

Someone tell me what i'm doing wrong. Almost every time i do a stand up wheelie i always drift to the right. i've even tried putting more weight on my left foot, but no help. could it be the roads? alot of them seem to be angled down toward the ditch. I'm running 25psi in the rear tire.

well the roads are paved like that so the water runs down to the side of the road or the ditch , some more them others, working for a concrete paving comp i can tell you that but sounds like you just may need to lean a bit the other way try it cant hurt

Re: drifting to one side

if i lean my whole body off the left side of the bike it will usually goes pretty straight, it just sucks having to do a wheelie that way, it looks odd

Re: drifting to one side

during high speed wheelies if you hang your knee it kinda acts like a sail and will keep you straight.

Re: drifting to one side

I Had The Same Problem For Awhile. I Found That My Body Positioning Was Off. Leaning Back Further On The Bike Helped Me Hold Em Straight And Higher.

same thing here, my wheelies were going left and even hanging all the way off to the right barely kept em straight. leaning back before/while i bring the wheel up and now they are going straight.

Re: drifting to one side

Lock your knees out... it helps a lot .. my roads are a little curved off to the right but if you lock you knees out and concentrate on something way up the road.. then it'll go straight

Re: drifting to one side

If you have the bike at a steady BP you should be able to move the bike in any position or any way you choose to go, but you should def. be at a smooth balance point first.

Re: drifting to one side

try changing your body positioning...if that doesn't seem to work, check you chain adjustment sometimes if it's off it'll pull the bike....or if your tire is junk it'll do the same thing....I've seen guys have that problem a lot before.
