you have to have a speicial tool to take them apart most the time. a good one will run from $200.00 to $500.00, hyper pro, scotts, ohlins, all good. i have a daytona now, its ok but its no hyper pro. new hyper pro runs about $465.00 shipped. shuggs sells daytonas for 150 i think.

don't use 90wt you won't even be able to move it here is what i was told

-take the little screw out, and drain the oil, move it through the stroke to get it all out
-get a tupperware dish bhig enough to fit the damper in. fill it with oil so the damper is submerged completely. move it back and forth through the stroke untill absolutly no air comes out and it's smooth the whole stroke, no gaps.
-while still submerged put the little screw back in.

i'd try and find out what kinda oil (weight) is in it to begin with and step up from there. i saw a kid with if i remember correctly 50wt in a stock damper and it was tight as hell, no way i'd want that for a daily driver. my guess is fork oil would work best.
