Stock pipes own!
I just installed a stock pipe for my bike I got for an awesome deal on ebay (10 dollars). I went out for 5 minutes, popped over 5 huge wheelies, I even got one up so high and I was like idling on the throttle I think I was at balance point cause it didn't drop until I let my hand off the throttle.
All I know is, with my RS-3 everything was scary, and jerky, and the powerband was kinda harsh (real kick at 8-9k) and while it doesn't feel as powerful, the powerband is tons smoother it pulls almost the same all the way to 11k. Couple that with the low noise and it's just too easy to clutch wheelies up now.
(can't really power wheelies at this altitude with the stock pipe but who gives a **** when you can clutch a wheelie up at 15mph)

Re: Stock pipes own!
Go ahead you moron, you're trying to deny what my bike does in the 1/4 mile after I added a midpipe and header and Power Commander with map.
I had to get rid of it anyway and sell the pipe so I could buy some things I needed.

Re: Stock pipes own!
I was staying with my cousins in Lodi California for 3 weeks when my dad had to go on a business trip to new york.
It was at sea level. I haven't tried to run it up here.

Yeah I spent the entire day there, I had 10 runs. I think my first run was 11.7 or something.

10.3 is fast for a 600 but could be done. My buddy has a lowered 1000 and runs 9.90's (137 mph or so)with nothing more than a M4 bolt-on. And that may be a few hundred feet over sea-level.

Re: Stock pipes own!
Ok let's get this post back on track.
Here's an update -
I have found balance point. I have no idea why people were saying it was gonna be extremely difficult and I'd need to wheelie 1000 times to get to it. Well it's not really that difficult, I basically slip the clutch I dunno what rpms not looking at the tach but rolling on the throttle around 30mph.
I get it up SMOOTH as hell, rolling off the throttle as it gets higher (all within about 2 seconds) as I hit the balance point I roll off until I'm at as much throttle as I'd be using to cruise on the highway.
I've ridden it out at balance point for about 250-500 feet so far and this is the first day I've really tried to do high wheelies so I think I'm doing pretty well.

Re: Stock pipes own!
Good deal, just practice slow. I run stock pipes just because it's quite, but I did like my M4 for a little extra pep, when it goes to try and stall out cause I'm on the brake too hard, lol.
About the 10.3, it's very possible. One of my teammates used to beat 929's on his 01 GSXR 600, it's all about the rider. (he's only 125lbs, lol). Power to weight is everything and then when the rider has skill on top of all of that, you got some impressive numbers.

Hey dude, you're full of sh*t. I have the same bike, all your listed mods and more, and I can't pull what you say you can in a 1/4. Smoke less crack and the voices will stop.
