standup help, almost got it locked, need just a lil tip
my clutch burnt out, so it slips and i'm too cheap to replace it right now, so i've gone to trying to bounce my standups.
Bike Info: 02 gixxer six, -2/+5, running in second gear, hitting it at 8k
i'm standing on the rider pegs and compressing the bike, than ripping it on the way back up. i can get it up okay, but i keep sitting down in the seat on the way up. when i manage to stay standing, it runs outta go and comes back down after a few seconds, never getting more than a foot or so up. is there anything i can do? or is just a practice thing? putting left foot on the rear peg is unnatural, and it feels like i'm not in control.

IF you are really in Lafayette like your info says, check the thread in the Indiana riders section, I will be up there next weekend, I will most likely have the trailer full of bikes. If you want some help, shoot me a pm and I will call you while I am up there.

try and lock your arms and legs straight, and when it goes up don't bend them, keep 'em straight, you'll have better feeling for balance, and lower bp when leaned backwards. And when bouncing do it just with your legs, without arms, and don't pull on the bars when you getting it up, cuz you loose throttle control, and steer to a side, and if you come down right away - tank slapper can happen. thats my exp. I was riding standups bouncing it up, but then I discovered the clutch. Get a new clutch, and good luck.

if your down 2 plus 5 you shouldnt have to bounce it in 2nd...should just hit the throttle at like 6k or a little up and itll come right up
