call a shop and ask them what the dif. is between the two bike dampers. they will tell you all you need to know. you might just have to buy a dif mounting kit.

a mounting kit is what connects the damper to your bike. i am having a hard time finding them but i was told all you have to do is change the mounting kit and they should work. if you find a shop that sells only mouting kits then let me know. ive tried emailing ohlins a couple times but i never get a response.

dampers arent made for specific bikes. they come in dif lengths like 120mm 100mm etc. the mounting kits are what are bike specific.

Re: r1 stabilzer on a r6

the mounting kits for R1s and R6s are probobly the same for most makes like hyperpro, sprint, and daytona(all good steering dampers) because they use the top triple clamp nut to hold the mouting bracket in place. Also Here in canada we have suppliers such as Parts Canada that you can buy mounting kits seprate but I don't know about the US.
