Tls Help!!!

My new 1997 TL1000S won't wheelie! I've tried everything, I even revved it to redline and dropped the clutch in first doing 10mph and nothing. What the hell?

Re: Tls Help!!!

Is the clutch ingaging properly? is the tire chirpin' or the bike jumpin forward? I have seen those things wheelie in second and I think even third just off of torque! Does it have a bad cylinder or anything like that? Need a tune up? I would say maybe its lack of technique (sp?) with a new to you bike, but if redline at 10mph wont loop it.....I just dont know........

I took it to a dealer they said everything was fine! The tire doesn't even chirp and the bike doesn't lurch. I'm dropping the clutch with the throttle pinned and it does absoltely nothing. Maybe I need to pull on the bars?

Re: Tls Help!!!

Never had a problem with mine. Have you ever clutched up a bike before? Could be your technique is way off. Get with someone who knows how to clutch and have them teach you the right way if you're new to it.

Re: Tls Help!!!

That bike is a wheelie machine man, If nothings wrong with it go ride with some people who have experience, maybe if you see someone wheelie your bike it will help you get over that mental barrier.

Re: Tls Help!!!

what the f..., TLS comes up with standard sky high gearing, with just rolling at 4000 and open it up. With any clutch use it's probably going to loop if you are not carefull. You can gas it up with second at 60, if you pull on the bars or stand up.. It's so easy its not even funny..

Is this question a joke? If not there is probably something wrong with the bike?
