Cool New guy with a Busa

Greetings from the new guy. I've been reading the threads during lunch for about a month now and thoroughly enjoy it. Been riding for almost 18 years (almost 40), but with kids and all, I've never really tried to stunt. But thanks to the tips and contributions on this site, I'm now wheelieing the big thang :YEAH. I'm still a newbie, so I need practice to keep it up and find the balance point.

Anyone else here ride a Busa?

Re: New guy with a Busa

I dont have a busa but my buddy does and he cant stunt it for anything. This one local guy asked him to borrow it for a sec and he was doing 12's spreaders endos and all. It was pretty funny because my buddy has no insurance on his bike and the damn thing is extremely minty so he was crappin in his pants Take care man and good luck with your new found enjoyment

I don't have one either but a guy in my club has one. He walks it 1st gear and can do standups in 2nd about a 1/4 mile. I know he has to clutch it up cuase the damn thing is so heavy. Enoy yours and be careful bro.

Hey, MD954. The beautiful thing about 98.4 lbs ft of torque is that it'll stand up just by grabbing a fistful of throttle. Scarry though, cause it feels like a tractor levitating. Another thing about being heavy is that I can't do a stoppie (yet). The front wheel just skids. Maybe that's good. I'd hate for it to squash my head (helmet and all).

Be safe too, bro.

Re: New guy with a Busa

glad to see you said helmet and all in your last post. and its nice to see someone get some experience riding b4 jumping right on a busa. it is quite a beast. all the power you will EVER need. just keep at it and you will get it. anything can be stunted, its just a matter of the will and determination of the guy behind the controls. enjoy and be safe.

Thanks Bill Parr. That's encouraging. Gotta have the helmet and leathers. I'm blessed with four beautiful daughters that need their daddy and a loving wife who drops her pride so that I can enjoy my passion .

I know I sound old cause I am (compared to you's young-uns). But when I grow up I wanna stunt like y'all (yes, I'm a Texan).

You guys are great.

Late...

Cool. I'd like to be able to talk about you guys to my kids' husbands (got 4 daughters) when I'm 70 and still riding.

Late, Bill Parr.
