chain tension

i was just wondering how and when to put tension the chain i have a 95 zx7 and i was told bc i do wheelies to put tension in the chain every 500 miles and i have no idea what to do

on the chain nearest the ground, right in the middle of it between the 2 sprockets, you should be able to move it up and down about 1", that's good enough play.

to tighten or loosen you loosen the axle, and i'm not sure on those bikes but there are bolts that adjust how far out hte axle is, move those to move it in or out. make sure you match the markings on both sides of the axle on the swingarm so the wheel is straight.
