Post Re: motocross handlebars

you either have to drill the clamps to the triple-tree, or buy a separate 'kit' that includes the clamps/triple. Depends on how high your forks are. That's pretty basic. Sorry it's not to detailed but maybe someone else can shed some more light one this, l8r.

Re: motocross handlebars

kidd is right but the tripple on the 929 is curverd...try speigler brakes
they make a kit that replaces the upper tripple..***** like 450.00
but you get longer brake lines and handlebars too...
r6kidd, if you can take a pic of your tripple for him to see.
i never took any pics up close of the f3.
hope this helped

Freestyle Ingenuity offers MX mounts for the 929 triple. Give em a call.

r6 has a flat triple, get some unversale 7/8" clamps from parts unlimited...40$ and you drill a hole and bolt them on. simple.

wouldn't the fork ends be in the way? and have you or anyone else been successful doing this?

nope, they raise the bars up, they aren't sitting right on top of the triples. and you can get them different offsets and height.

this is what i did on my 900rr.

no problem, measure twice, cut once and drill straight or it'll be all jacked up.

Re: motocross handlebars

haha, what if your forks are bent?? mine gotta a crazy lean on 'em, I think motobars would just amplify this.

well, this is the problem i was going to run into on my 929 cause it's a little tweaked to the left. do you drill it so that when you are driving the mx bars are straight....or do you drill it so the clamps are on straight (bars bent when you put them on)? one way, they will be straight, but when you put new forks or triples on, the top triple will be drilled wrong. who knows

Re: motocross handlebars

Thats what I was thinking too. But I was wondering if the "feel" would be off. Also, with the added leverage of longer bars, would it increase the risk of bending forks in the event of a crash?

btw- I saw someone rocking a custom front fairing stay, dude said he bought it from you. You make 'em for F4's?
