LEDz need help!!

what up everyone,
i need some help. i just picked up my bike last weekend and have been tryin to do some **** to it. i took off everything in the back and only have the license plate bolted to the back. so i need some blinkers and dont want those big honkin ones they sell at the dealership. i went out and bought some leds to hook up for blinkers. when i attach them to the old blinker wires they dont work. should i just say screw it and ride without rear blinkers...that might be pretty stupid. does anyone know how to hook up leds as blinkers. i need some help

What are blinkers? You mean those big orange things I kicked off as soon as I got my bike home?

What kind of LEDs did you get? 3 volt or 12 volt? Flashing or non-flashing? Keep in mind that LEDs (Light Emitting DIODES) are directional. Unlike light bulbs, they need to be hooked up with the correct polarity. Also, they draw much less current than a light bulb, so they may cause your signals to flash quicker or not at all.

Re: LEDz need help!!

You know those LED washer sprayers that cars have.
I drilled holes on my tail and installed them upside down.
They do work but blink fast.

Re: LEDz need help!!

yo

I got some custom LED taillights I made...

I got them off a website, i couldnt find it man, i'll look some more, but you can get these sweet LED clusters that have 2 sets of bulbs in them.... like a 6bright red running lights and then 6 MORE superbright red brake lights..
they sell em to replace any # bulb.. mine happen to be 3157s or something.

they look awesome, 2 nice 12 LED clusters right next to each other.. i broke my taillight doing endos and these little bastards did the trick

this is not the website, but it'll give you a idea whats out there

Re: LEDz need help!!

I just bought a tailight blinker integrator or whatever, so now my tailights are my blinkers. I have two tailight bulbs, so now they work with my blinkers. Not sure if its legal but I haven't gotten pulled over yet.
