04 gsxr 600 on its side!

Quick question, On the 04 gsxr 6 do i have to trim my farings to put sliders on, I am looking at the 03 1000 and it is virtually the same bike. will 03 1000 sliders work. Ive already had an incident where my friend was sitting on my bike and it dropped. Im trying to prevent further damage from finding my bike. Any help?

Get a cage if you're going to be really stunting that thing.

I haven't seen the 04 600/750, but if you can easily see the upper motor mount (big allen head bolt) with about 3/4 inch clearance all around, you shouldn't have to trim.

Re: 04 gsxr 600 on its side!

i doubt that the 03 1k sliders would work..........the sliders might be the same but you would most likely need a different size bolt. i'm sure the motor mount depth isn't the exact same. i'm sure they already have 04 sliders out........if not they will VERY soon.

btw, did you friend pay to fix the bike?

Re: 04 gsxr 600 on its side!

NEVER LET YOUR FRIENDS SIT ON YOUR BIKE.

I can't stress ENOUGH how important this is. They can beg, they can whine, all they ****ing want. Just. Say. No.

My bike was warming up today and I was eating a sandwich and this stupid friend of my brothers kept asking me to ride it. I must have told him no 12 times. He said he had an R6 before (knew it wasn't true) and he kept asking.
