i went off the clutch side first, id hop over on the left side peg with both feet and kinda freeze there took awhile to get myself off, but once you do it, it seems like nothing. the only thing i see different is how people get back on the bike, some of my buddies just pick one foot up and put it on the peg, i used to do that until i stood on the shift lever instead of the peg. so after that i just planted both feet on the pavement and let it kick me up and onto the bike. good luck

i use the gas tank to mainly hold me up, under my arm and squeeze. I just jump up and over all in one thang, but i didnt start off that way, just take ur time, and dont pull a ghost rider, lol, everyone else has good pointers too, so ur good to go.

Re: Skitching....
i use whatever shoes or boots I have on, but since most of my weight is on the gas tank, i just pick my feet up and put one of the left peg,(then taking weight off gas tank and applying it on the peg) then bring the other leg back over to the right peg. Always easier to just show you or have someone show you, watching it always the easiest instead of writing it online. hope this helps bro....

Re: Skitching....
I think a couple of people on here make them... but here is what I did.... I bought some titanium screws.... with nice thick heads on em. Then I drilled holes into some old boots... screwed em in... and went a skiing! Skitched nice and smooth with five or six foot sparks behind me.
Oh... hello officer.

There are a couple of people on here that makes them. Adam from Sportbikehype down here in Dallas makes em for a pretty good price. Check out www.sportbikehype.com and look him up on the forum section.

Re: Skitching....
1. Be carful with those screws. Instead of wearing down the heads, you'll probably just push them all the way up through the sole, and into the bottom of your foot.
2. Skitching is somewhat of an illusion - all of your weight is on the bike. You can drag your feet if you have some sort of plate or screw set up, or if the pavement is wet.

Re: Skitching....
Yeah I thought of that... I use really short screws. They won't even reach all the way through. Plus I never put all of my weight on them.... Like DNF said... its an illusion.
