Unfortunately they go underneath the fairings, meaning you have to take them off and drill holes for the frame sliders . . . You can thank honda for that one

I think he means where on the frame? I was wondering the same thing, I just never put them on my f4. Anybody else?

on the motor mount, it's pretty close to everyother bike, near the head, just covered up by the fairings. take you side panels off, you'll see.

Re: **where do u put the sliders on an f4?**

hmm...... my f4 has never had the fairings on it. If I remember correctly, on one side I could find a place, but on the other I couldn't find a flat surface that would work to mount it. I never tried too hard, but I'll look again.

Yes you can but you want to get some that will break before your mounts do

A little birdy told me that Freestyle Ingenuity makes custom sliders for the f4 because there is no flat mounting surface. Give Tim a call.

NO, your looking at the wrong place. take your fairings off and look for the bolt by the head of the motor. if you use the screws that hold the fairings on to hold the slider it will be USELESS!

Re: **where do u put the sliders on an f4?**

Take off the top two bolts that hold the fairing on and peel back the fairing a little bit. Look for the motor mount bolt underneath. Like everyone else is saying, it's on the frame right behind the head. It's only like three inches in from the rear of the fairing.

What I did was line tip of my index finger up to the motor mount hole and then pushed it straight against the backside of the fairing. This gave me a general idea of where the mount is from the outside of the fairing without taking them off.

Once you find where it is, mark the spot on the outside of the fairing and drill a pilot hole.

Once the whole is drilled, stick a small screwdriver through the hole and see if it lines up with the motor mount. If not, make adjustments and drill another pilot hole.

Once you get it lined up right, make the big hole with the hole saw.
Stick your frame sliders through and bolt the bitches on.

Try not to make too many mistakes when drilling the pilot holes because you only got like a 1 3/4" diameter area that the final hole will cover.

I'll try to take pics of my room mates F4i that I did not too long ago to show you the general area of the sliders.

Hope this helped.

Here's a shot of my room mates F4i. Hope this helps you find the placement on yours dude. The pics a little blown out but it should give you the general idea of where they go.
