anyone with this kind of bike got any tips on how i could clutch it up and 2nd? Like what speed or RPMs? thanks.

i have an 01 gsxr 600, get going about 40-45 i use one finger on the clutch, pull it in just enough to let the rpms just, and peg it, once they get to about 10 or so let the clutch out and stay on the throttle it should jump the front end up and let you ride it out, its scary at first but practice makes perfect

01 and 00 gsxr is different.... 00 is still carbed...... my 97 gsxr600 would be exactly like ur bike....... all i can say is go around 40mph ish and pull in the clutch and whack dat throttle open.... dont look atthe rpm....... just listen to it....you gotta whack it pretty damn hard on stock gearing. keep ur eyes on teh road.

now, now, now, i wouldnt necessarilly say whack it to a new commer on the whole clutch in up spheall, dude, get to a good spead, and go slowly with how much you rev and dump, you dont want to over do it and go flyin off the back, try it at lower rpm's at first and get used to the jerk that it will give and just step it up after a while. but try to constant speed, meaning try it at 35 mph and see how that goes a few times and then go up and just take your time.


and keep your foot over the rear brake just in case.
