I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW!!!! you tried to start it up using the choke didn't you?
it was so cold that you fouled out the plugs i did it 3 times in the same month. just take your plugs out get some carb clean and steel wool and clean the **** outta them (if your a jew) or just go buy some new ones. when it back fires when you try to start its 9/10 your plugs

Hey, what froze?
Since I have never seen gas freeze, I can only think you got a hell of alot of water in that tank to go with it and if so that isn't a good thing.
Anyways, sounds like the way my '98 zx9r would run when I fouled a plug, change your plugs, should be fine.

A fouled plug may work again but no guarentees, actually I have never had one work again. I had a shop that would do a "sandblast" process to fouled plugs if you want to get them working again but even they never guarenteed that they would work again.
Buy new plugs and try it again.
