Getting my 600RR up in 2nd & shifting to 3rd
Finally last week I learned how to pull up my 600RR in 2nd gear. 2nd gear seems a little easier to control, i guess because the throttle is smoother. Once I get the front up I pull the bike all the way back to the point I start to feel like I'm going over and slip the clutch and shift. I thought it was funny when my front tire chirped as came back down to the ground around 130mph.
I really need to work on maintain a constant speed while doing a wheelie. My goal for this summer is be able to rock long hwy wheelies.
So once your getting your bike up and working the wheelie what is the best way to keep it at the same speed.

basically you got a lil ways to go. u gotta start realizing your point of balance is further back then it feels. ne time ur slippin back u can always use the brake. So to get em a constant speed, u gotta be wayyy back in that balance point. but i dont recommend you start trying this until u can consistently bring it up at a decently slow speen in first gear. learning at 130 mph did u say? will deff get you killed. I have the f4i and im rocking stock gearing. Got circles n the whole bit so I can deff tell ya ive been there. Just keep riding. Seat time solves ne thing dude.

you should learn to become best friends w/ your clutch.
i have a 600RR, i did go -1/+3 on the sprockets, but i can
clutch 3rd gear on the hwy and have no problems getting it
straight up. it's almost effortless.
peace
