bounce or clutch?
alright, i know you have said this stuff a thousand times, but i dont know which to do. i had a 600 which i clutched up everytime. now i have a new 1000 and it comes up easy with throttle.. thing is i'm scared to clutch the new bike in fear of looping.. give me a 600 and i'll clutch it up and wheelie.
give me a 1000, and i don't know what to do. am i just being a puss? any help?

i own a 98 gsxr750 and i bounce either in 2nd then switch to 3rd and so forth but if im on the freeway i bounce it in 3rd it's kinda hard on a 750 because u need to pull harder but i tried a 1000 b4 and i say just bounce it you could even pick it up in 3rd just sitting down...less wear and tear...good luck....cpRydaz san diego.....

Re: bounce or clutch?
Dude clutch it up everytime. Just cover your rear brake and take baby steps to wheelie in 2nd and 3rd gears. Not to bash on you or anything but if you got a 1000 and do not know how to clutch it up in 2nd or 3rd you need to go back to a 600 and practice some more. But anyway good luck and cover your break.

Re: bounce or clutch?
i dont know what to tell u.. my friend has the new 1000 gixxer... bounces 2nd and rides em out for bout 4 - 5 miles... just hanging out up there.. if u wanna get good with slower wheelies u will need to clutch, gassing it will bring up your speed too much... as for me.. i dont know how to bounce im just learning that... i try and try and try and try.... it only comes up bout 2 feet.... my friend bounced my bike in 4th the other day to show me its me thats retarded... o well.. i will get it soon or a later... my friend working 2nd gear clutch ups now and has them down well on the 1000.. but he was a lil shaky for a few tries, but he been wheelieing for like 15 years.
