it's a fiddy?! You can't really get hurt. just ride in 2nd and hit it while leaning back a little. Just keep your foot on the rear brake, just like suzukigsxr said...it's good practice

Re: Help me Wheelie
If your that worried about it, throw on a helmet and some leather and just find a 'clean' road and just practice. He's not jumping ramps or **** like that, he's just trying to 'wheelie'. When I first started, I'd bring it up to high and I would jump off<---stupid newbie mistake! Then I learned to use the back brake<---again, good habit! I've fallen a bunch of times, doing wheelies, stoppies, high chair ****. You get a scrape here and there but hey, you move on or you cry like a biatch. I've got a scrape bar on my bro's fiddy and I hit that **** 2 minutes into riddin it with the bar for the first time It's no biggy. Bottom line, don't worry about getting scraped up, just practice til ya get it!...that's if you 'want' to get it. Ok, I'm done.

Re: Help me Wheelie
The fastest way to learn how to ride a wheelie is to purposely (going very slow) jack the front end up past the balence point, and quickly push the brake. After doing this a few times, pressing the brake will become a reflex. This will also take away the fear of looping it. Then you will be able to concentrate on balance point, throttle control, and side to side balance.

Re: Help me Wheelie
Oh, and when you get used to using the brake and when you loose your fear of looping, then wheelie at higher speeds like r6 kidd said. It won't be as twitchy and it is much easier to balance side to side at higher speeds.
